The work

The second Civilisation follows the first by a year: Rostock, 1978, sandstone again and again a working stay in East Germany. The Ostsee-Zeitung greets it as «the work of the Polish artist».

In German the work took the name «Entstehung des Lebens», the coming into being of life, and it is still in the park of the zoo: two blocks that open like a shell and, in the middle, the gathered figure.
