The work
Plates of hammered bronze joined in pairs by pins, like pages: leaves from the artist’s diary, the sculptural paraphrase of a book. In the Przemijanie cycle the books close and open, held by a padlock that carries its own symbolic value; from these pages — their pendant is Rozstanie, the parting — one reads the hope of a happiness shared. 1988.
