The work
The disc opens into two wings and in the middle a flame rises in the shape of a drop; all around, on the inner face of the two halves, a radiating figure of smaller drops points towards the centre. The bronze rests on a block of veined white marble.
«Sacrum» is the name of a cycle the sculptor carries on through the nineties, taking up a form habitual to her — the disc that opens — to say something different with it.
