The work

The bust of black oak is cut lengthwise and the two halves have drawn apart. Each carries a face, and the two look ahead at the same height. In the gap stands the third element: a dark drop, pointed at the top, which swells as it descends into a full, polished body at the height of the chest.

It closes, in 1999, the series of busts begun twenty years before. At the solo exhibition «Przemijanie» of the Muzeum Regionalne at Siedlce, in 2009, it is placed in the central gallery, together with the bronze portrait of Albert, the artist’s son.
