The work
The bust of black oak is cut lengthwise and the two halves have drawn apart: the left one holds the face and the shoulder, the right shows only the dark back. In the gap, at the height of the chest, stands the bronze sphere that is the work’s third element.
It closes, in 1999, the series of busts begun twenty years before. At the solo exhibition «Przemijanie» of the Muzeum Regionalne at Siedlce, in 2009, it is placed in the central gallery, together with the bronze portrait of Albert, the artist’s son.
