The work
A small table bronze of 1980: a plate comes down over the face like a visor, and on the plate an open eye is engraved. The Subiektywny cycle turns around the inward eye — no gaze is truly objective — and it is born in the year when, as the critics would write, the nation’s eyes too were being opened.
The subject has two versions: the small bronzes and a large one in mahogany; a wooden Subiektywny receives a distinction at the Winter Salon at Radom in 1981.
