The work

Four bronze forms offset in a spiral, like banners rising; along the second runs the inscription, from the last an eagle with a crown emerges. Inside, a carillon: every day, at a fixed hour, the monument would have played the Mazurek Dąbrowskiego. The design, signed with Henryka Strąk, wins the competition for the Monument to the National Anthem in plac Dąbrowskiego, Warsaw.

On 29 September 1999 the act of foundation is walled in and the foundation stone laid. The committee does not manage to raise the funds and the monument is never built: on the square the slab announcing it remains.
