The work

The Sphere is made in the summer of 1976 at the Forma Viva symposium of Kostanjevica na Krki, in Slovenia: an ovoid of oak three metres high, opened by a fissure, carved in the open air and left in the sculpture park where it was made.

The professional photographs from the symposium show it newly finished, in the middle of the meadow: it is one of the works the photographers of the Galerija Božidar Jakac record that year.
